Welcome to M&M Auctions

As most of you know, it's not easy trying to make a living on the internet. I've been at it almost five years now and the one thing I've learned is that it's all about promotion promotion promotion. I've found that exchanging links is the best way to accomplish that. And what better way than to use someone else site to tell people exactly what you're selling?

If you have a product to sell, here is a great way to draw potential buyers to your site. I created M&M Auctions (which is powered by master.com) on February 19, 2007 so that sellers like myself can list classified ads that direct traffic to either a personal website or to a specific webpage where your product is listed. It costs nothing to place a 30-day classified ad. (These ads are renewable every 30 days at no charge. Auctions, however, do have a small listing fee,  so I wouldn't recommend listing anything other than a free classified ad, at least not until this site catches on and there is more traffic). And if enough people participate, I think the potential for sales is unlimited.

The M&M Auctions site is very easy to use. First go to mmreadingroom.master.com and create a free  account. Then begin listing your items under the appropriate category (i.e., books, music, movies, crafts, clothing, jewelry...) You can add a photograph to your listing (again for free) by either uploading one from your computer or by supplying a URL to a photo on your site. You can also include a link to your website or to a webpage that gives more information about the item you are trying to sell. The link can be to an Ebay page or any other auction or seller site such as Yahoo Auctions, your Amazon or ioffer.com storefront, or wherever else your product is listed.

As I said, this service is completely free if you use the classified ad format. However, the concept won't work unless the site gets promoted. So what I'm looking for is a little participation in this venture, specifically that you put up a link on your website. What I suggest using is the following:

<center><a href="http://mmreadingroom.master.com"><img border="0" src="http://mmreadingroom.com/promotion3.gif" width="200" height="32"></a></p><form method="GET" action="http://mmreadingroom.master.com/texis/master/search/auction.html"><input name="q" value size="20"><br><input type="submit" value="Search Auctions"></form></center>

Simply copy and paste this code into the HTML of your website's main page. What it will look like is this:

In fact, if you'll put this code on your main page, I'll be happy to put a link to your website on my main page at www.mmreadingroom.com (I sell books and movies and get my fair share of traffic, so it can't hurt. Contact me at webmaster@mmreadingroom.com when you're ready for me to add your link.)

Let me know if you have any questions. It's been my experience that selling on the internet doesn't have to be as cutthroat as it's become. And when sellers agree to help each other, everyone benefits in the long run.

Best of luck.
